As grandparents, we love our grandkids, don’t we? We want what’s best for them. We want them to be happy, healthy, and smart. But, are we thinking about their spiritual health? Recently, I was talking with a grandma who says God has used Keys for Kids Ministries (formerly Children’s Bible Hour) to impact five generations of her family for Christ. What a legacy! That’s something that will live beyond happiness, health, and intelligence. As grandparents, the most important thing we can do for our grandkids is to be faithful and teach them the truth of Scripture. They may not want to listen, but the bottom line is Scripture teaches us that His Word won’t return empty or void. We need to plant the seed. Somebody else may water it, but God—He’ll reap the harvest.
