As we get older—let’s face it—we start falling apart. Our weight goes up. Our joints hurt. We fall asleep watching TV or whenever we’re sitting down. How do we fight this? We do all we can to eat better, exercise more, and take care of the stress level. But, how are you doing with your spiritual health? As parents, we can let our spiritual guards down, and that’s when the evil one can attack. Are we staying in God’s Word and praying each day? And, are we sharing what we learn with our kids? Set aside a time each day—not just weekdays—to spend time in the Word. Find a plan, devotional, Bible study—something to help keep you focused. Then stick to it. You’ll be surprised how it will overflow into your daily parenting.
