As we conclude our seventh in our series on Dr. Gary Chapman’s The 5 Love Languages of Children, the question you may have is, “How do I figure out what my child’s love language is?” Here are some great questions to ask them. Mom, ask your first-grader if they’d rather have you bake them some cookies (acts of service) or take a walk (quality time). Dad, ask if your son would rather wrestle (physical touch) or read a story together (quality time). Maybe you can ask, would they rather have a present (gifts) or a nice note (words of affirmation)? The only way to figure out your child’s love language is to spend some time with them, talk to them, and figure it out. Time is short. Time to make them feel loved is so important.
