Peer pressure. We all feel it. Have you ever been in a situation where you totally disagree with what’s being said, but you just sat there and said nothing? We were all there as kids, right? But, what about as adults? How do we respond? I’ve been in meetings where NOBODY says a word. What about our kids? How do they feel when their Christian worldview collides with the world’s? I’m trying to teach my daughter right now to be courageous and bold—but loving—in defending her views in the face of rebuke. Who likes being mocked, right? But, if we encourage our kids that it’s a badge of honor to suffer for Christ, maybe they’ll change their way of thinking. If they hated Jesus, what makes us think they’re not going to hate us?
