Today is my sister’s birthday. (She’s MUCH older than I am. LOL.) Even though we’re in our 50s, we still can run together from time to time. We have a great relationship, and I’m grateful. But sometimes adult siblings don’t have very good relationships. That tension can create a bad example to our kids. I knew somebody who got mad at his sister and didn’t talk to her for almost 10 years. Then, she died. He always thought they would reconcile. At the funeral, he couldn’t even remember why they were fighting. Are you estranged from your brother or sister? Psalm 37:8 says, “Refrain from anger” (NIV), while Hebrews 12:14 says to “make every effort to live in peace with everyone” (NIV). Wouldn’t you rather your kids learn THAT kind of behavior?
