As a parent, what are we doing to help our kids study? We’re instilling great study habits that’ll help them in school. Why? We want them to get good grades so they can get into a good college and eventually get a good job, right? But are we helping them to study God’s Word? David says, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11 NKJV). As believers in Christ, isn’t that more important than good grades? I’ll have to admit, aside from Awana Clubs, Bible memorization wasn’t something on my radar. It should have been. I regret it. That doesn’t mean it’s a lost cause, though. Challenge the kids in your life to memorize a verse a week—verses that’ll be hidden in their hearts forever.
