Isn’t that every Christian parent’s desire? The best way to tackle that is to spend time in God’s Word every day, starting at a young age. There’s a young man in my church who asked me for a Keys for Kids devotional to read to his newborn son. He told me he wanted to start getting into the habit of having devotions with his boy. Even that isn’t a sure thing. But, remember, the only thing God asks of us is to be faithful. Scripture gives us great direction. It says, “Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7 GW). Those daily reminders will lay a great foundation.
