That sign hangs on the refrigerator in our kitchen. It’s a little joke, but isn’t it true? Moms, your emotions set the tone for the entire family. Sound like a lot of pressure? Well, it is. Everyone knows you can’t be happy all the time, but trying to make sure your home is a happy home will not only make it an enjoyable place for your kids but their friends, too. They’ll want to be around. I know, it’s hard. God’s Word is the best place to help you out, though. Paul says, “Count it all joy…when you meet trials” (James 1:2 ESV). “Be joyful in the Lord!” (Philippians 4:4 GW).  And, remember, the Lord is our glory and joy (Titus 2:13; Nehemiah 8:10). While it isn’t any fun having whiny, fighting, and disobedient kids, the way we respond can speak volumes.
