When my kids were pretty young, I had this thing about cleaning floors. I hated doing it. For whatever reason, this job seemed to always fall on me. So, one day, I decided to encourage my kids to clean it. I had them get on their bathing suits, we got warm, soapy water, and we dumped it out all over the floor. It was kind of like an indoor slip-n-slide. The deal was we could play for a while, but then we had to clean up the water. Chores for kids can be a drag, but, if you encourage them to make it fun, they’ll enjoy tackling the hard jobs. After all, Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus” (ESV).
