I don’t know where you stand on the movie ratings system, but I get pretty irritated by them. When I was a kid, we didn’t HAVE PG-13. They were R. Let’s run down what they mean. G means anybody can go watch. PG means there may be some themes and words young kids need to be protected from. PG-13 may contain some nudity or swear words—but not the f-bomb. And R? Well, those are just raunchy. Should we allow our kids to watch PG-13 movies? Should we watch? Let’s let Scripture answer that. 1 Thessalonians 5:19, 21-22: “Do not quench the Spirit….but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil” (ESV). Be imitators of Christ.
