Author Dr. Gary Chapman has written a book called The 5 Love Languages of Children. Today, we look at one of them: physical touch. Some kids just need to be touching us all the time. They’re energized by it. It can be kisses, hugs, wrestling, spinning around, or tossing them up and down (and, of course, catching them). Dr. Chapman tells us you can help fill your child’s “love tank” with tickles, kisses and hugs when saying hello or goodbye, or buying gifts that feel good to the touch. Mom and Dad, sometimes we’re so focused on what makes us tick that we don’t try to focus on what our kids need. You can get a copy of The 5 Love Languages of Children at our store.
