We know that’s a lie. But, are you believing other lies of the Evil One and the culture around us? The lies that tell us, for example, that it’s okay to cheat on our spouse? How about the one that says it’s okay to forsake our church family because it’s not “speaking to me”? Or what about the one that says, “I yelled at my kids today because they deserved it”? While all appear at various levels of the list of top ten sins, they’re ALL sins. And, as parents, it’s just as easy for us to believe the lies of our culture. How do we fight? Stay in God’s Word. And pray. Psalm 119:11: “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you” (ESV).
