Envy. Coveting. Jealousy. These are things we all have difficulty with, don’t we? As adults, we wish we had a nicer car or home. Well, our kids struggle with it, too. The question is, “How do you handle these issues in your own life?” Sometimes, I don’t do it very well. Our house is 20-plus years old. And it needs new carpet and appliances, and the walls could use some work. Me complaining about it and wishing we had an extra $10,000 to do the work to replace everything isn’t a very good example. So, when you hear these words, think back on your actions. Maybe an apology and a discussion about being thankful for what God’s given us is the better way to go.
