As I write this our family is dealing with another uncertainty. This time it’s my wife. She went in for some tests. Something didn’t look right. Now, she needs more tests. While all our kids are adults now, it doesn’t mean those uncertainties are easy to handle. All four are in different stages of their faith. Some are far away from the Lord, while others are walking closely. In our circumstances we’re uncertain. Fear grips us. My wife deals with it differently than I do. My kids are all over the map. Utter fear. Anxious anticipation. As a father and husband, I must be strong, yet compassionate, and focused on our Father who controls it all – no matter the outcome. He’s using this to do His work in all of us.

Praying for you and your wife and family. It is true as you said He “is using this to do His work in all of us.”
Our recent pregnancy was a diagnosis of complete placenta previa…it was months of uncertainty, but also months of Grace as I was taught over and over about God’s faithfulness. There were some hard and scary moments, but our daughter is here now and I am reminded how important it is to remember how God revealed Himself during those days because no doubt I/we will need those faith building reminders in the days ahead.
