I used to laugh at my grandparents when they’d tell me that. As a young person I thought, “How in the world does it go by so fast for them and not me.” Days seemed to drag out into weeks. School seemed like FOREVER. Now that I’m in my 50s I think about this a lot because they were right. My once three-year-old daughter is now a grown young woman. I’m a grandpa. How did THAT happen? As parents and grandparents our time with the kids in our lives will come and go. What kind of time are we spending with them? If a relationship with Christ is most important, reading the Bible, talking about it, and living it with them should be our priority.
