School is out. We’re not battling the homework routine—now we’re trying to figure out creative ways to get our kids off their mobile devices or computer games. When we’re working, it’s kind of hard to monitor our kids’ electronic behavior during the summer months. Well, here’s a word of caution. We may want to put limits on their data, wifi, and even cell service. There are directions for that with our routers. Some cell services can even place limits on our kids’ mobile devices. But as with anything, our kids’ devices can become addictive, or what the Bible calls an idol. I just SET those limits without explanation. But don’t do that; it makes them mad. Clearly spell out why, then—especially with the older kids—train them to self-regulate.
