What? What is that? As a dad, I like looking up days in the almanac and challenging people with quirky facts. It’s a lot of fun for me. May Day has a number of meanings, actually. For many, it means the celebration of spring. It’s also a day of protests, as it’s also known as the International Workers’ Day. Some will protest, others will march in celebration. For some governments, like Russia, it’s a day to parade its military might, thus making a statement. Well, gather your kids and celebrate today. Celebrate May Day. Remember the new birth you received from Christ alone: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (1 Corinthians 5:17 ESV).
