Who doesn’t want that for our kids? I know I do. Jeremy wrote in and suggested that we talk about not giving our kids what he called a “Disney World” life. While everybody wants to see our kids happy, sometimes we can go overboard—giving them everything their little hearts desire. This can backfire in a big way. It can create an “I want” or “I need” mentality. While we all want our kids to have a better life than we did, ask this question—was it really that bad? You felt good when you earned it yourself. Just say no once in a while. Let’s give our kids opportunities to earn money to buy their own things. Let’s also encourage them to have a giving spirit.
