Isn’t that every Christian parent’s desire? The best way to tackle that is to spend time in God’s Word every day, starting at a young age. There’s a young man in my church who asked me for a Keys for Kids devotional to read to his newborn son. He told me he wanted to start getting into the habit of having devotions with his boy. You know, even that isn’t a sure thing. But, remember, the only thing God asks of us is to be faithful. Scripture gives us great direction. It says, “Take to heart these words that I give you today. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you’re at home or away, when you lie down or get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, GW). Those daily reminders will lay a great foundation.
