“Hey, this is Mark from Casting Crowns. Being a dad. That’s a tough one. I’ve got four kids, and they are four TOTALLY different people. And as much time as I need to spend with all of them, I’m seeing that I need to spend more time with fewer of them.”

Great suggestion, Mark Hall! And he’s right. While all our kids need us to spend time with them, they equally need us to take interest individually. Sometimes it’s hard when we’re SO different, isn’t it? Just remember, though, God created them just the way they are. Get to know them. Even though you may be completely different, do what THEY want to do. That alone will help them feel valued—valued as God values us—which opens doors to talk about faith.
