Jenelle, a Parent Minute listener, asked if I would talk about how to talk to our kids when leaders fail. I’ve lived through a couple of them. The worst was when a dear friend in ministry that ended up in prison. It’s been hard for our whole family. But what I tell my daughter is everyone sins. Then I ask, “When was the last time you sinned against God?” The response? “But, I’d never do something like THAT!” Does it matter to God? Sin is sin. We’re no better than they are—except that society says their sin is worse than ours. Is it any less forgivable? Not according to Psalm 103:12 which says, “as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (NIV).
