My wife and I have four kids and each one is different. While I wish each one had a close relationship with Christ, the reality is not all of them do. I’ll be honest: it’s one of the single things I struggle with the most. Did I do something to push them away? Should I have done or said something differently to prevent them from abandoning the faith? While I do wonder sometimes, I wonder a lot less these days because I know I can’t save anybody. The Holy Spirit is the one who leads them to the Savior. Sometimes it’s easy to get on that pity-party bandwagon and blame ourselves, but avoid it. Replace it with constant prayer. It’s the most important tool to lead our kids back to Christ.
