There are a lot of people who God has gifted with good looks and a smart mind. Me? I have a face for radio and my mind—well, let’s just say it’s unique. How many times have you caught yourself saying something that WASN’T very encouraging about somebody challenged on the looks side? And how many times have you said something in front of your kids? You know, it’s easy to fall into that trap and, worse, we set a poor example for our kids. If this sounds familiar, just stop it. We all know that God created people uniquely and beautifully. And if you hear your kids judging people on their looks, remind them that they’re mocking one of God’s creations. If you fail to stop it, that ugliness will grow.

My Christian school teacher always used to call me crow – dark skinned. And it used to hurt me.
Never ever I commented anyone on their looks
I’m sorry you were hurt like that. I remember when someone told me, “Greg, you’re not as gifted as your sister. You’re going to have to work twice as hard.” Ouch. God uses all people in our lives. However, it helped me be more Christ-like in how I interact with people no matter their appearance. Unfortunately, none of us have mastered that.
