As parents of older teens and young adults we still worry, don’t we? As the coronavirus continues to explode, young people believe they're immune, or at least can fight it if they get it. Many don’t understand what all the fuss is about. I heard one young woman on TV questioned the stay at home orders because she said only old people are in danger. As parents of young adults, they’re just starting to realize we’re not just older, but wiser. Share your wisdom quietly. Ask questions like, “how do you KNOW young people are surviving?” Or say things like, “If I were you, I’d want to know for sure.” Ultimately, we’re the head of our homes. If our adult kids are endangering other family members, be firm. But do it in love.
