Some parents ask, “Why home school?” Well, one of the biggest blessings is the opportunity for discipleship. Deuteronomy 6 reminds us to teach God’s Word diligently—when we sit, walk, lie down, and rise. That means weaving the Gospel into everyday life. The Gospel is simple: we’re all sinners separated from God (Romans 3:23), but Jesus died and rose again so that by faith we can be forgiven and restored (Romans 10:9). Home schooling doesn’t save our kids—only Christ does. But it gives us daily time to point them to Him, not just reading Scripture, but helping them understand it. Discipleship. That’s our calling as parents: to lead our kids to know and follow Jesus.
