Elections are almost always contentious. It’s about picking sides, after all. I’m NEVER going to tell you how to vote on this program, but I would like to encourage you how we should act in front of the kids in our lives. First, while we always have our opinions, make sure our opinions are free from hate. Jesus was clear: We should love and pray for our enemies. When we struggle with people and elected officials who may attack our faith or biblical convictions, we have to make sure we’re praying that God will do a work in their hearts. As kids in our lives see and hear us do that, they become imitators of us, and hopefully imitators of Jesus.
