My two cents, life isn’t fair! But thirteen year old Hannah is irritated “that my brothers who are younger than me have the exact same bed time that I do. I am older and sometimes when you’re older it comes with more responsibility. Sometimes do homework or when we are done with homework to have some free time during the day.” Jenny, Hannah’s mom explains, “Sometimes the whole family has stuff happening that makes the boys go to bed later than they should, which understandably frustrates the girls, but there’s usually a good reason for it. It’s easier to learn that life isn’t fair at a young age because it’s something that will be reinforced for the rest of your life.” Yielding to authority and being humble could be the best lessons.
