There are many parents who want to protect their kids from undue fear and anxiety at all cost – especially if something is short-lived. Maybe that’s what you thought about the coronavirus. Well, it’s here. There’s no avoiding it. So, how do we talk to our younger kids when they ask about corona or anything else for that matter. Find out how much they know about it. As they answer, they may have some questions. Answer those questions honestly, but age appropriately. Don’t offer too much information. Just enough to satisfy. Also, don’t talk or watch news about it constantly. That’s not good for either one of you. Routine can help our kids feel safe, too. If they ask “why” as kids often do. Open the Bible.
