I cannot imagine your pain. What parent wants to receive news that your child is facing cancer? It’s normal to feel shock, fear, anxiety, sadness, and anger. Don’t internalize it. Reach out to your friends at church. Maybe someone who’s gone through it. The American Cancer Society has some great support ideas for parents, patients, and siblings to help them cope. But remember, nothing can replace God’s love and compassion shown through fellow believers in Christ who want to help through prayer, talks, meals, babysitting, and more. Maybe you know someone going through this right now. Send note cards, text messages, or email quoting words of Scripture. This season of life will be difficult but God is able.
