Your house is probably the biggest investment you have. It’s a blessing. As a steward of what God’s given you, you want to keep your house looking pretty good, right? Unfortunately, a lot of people are what I call “messies.” While they appreciate God’s blessing, they don’t feel the need to keep it clean or even keep it in good repair. If you’re a messy, let me encourage you to overcome it. What kind of message are you sending to your kids? If the Bible says do all as unto Christ, doesn’t that also mean how we clean our house or keep our lawn mowed? Now, I’m not suggesting a perfectly kept house—that’s just not practical when you’ve got kids. But having a schedule and assigning chores can help relieve some of that pressure.
