How many of us have found ourselves so frustrated as a parent that we can hardly pick ourselves off the floor sometimes? Maybe you’re a first-time parent of an infant and you feel so overwhelmed. Maybe you’re treading through the teen years and you feel like you can’t do anything right and YOUR parent’s unwanted advice has you defeated. Or, maybe you’re a step-parent and you don’t feel like you’re having ANY impact and you haven’t found your place. Frankly, we’re all just a bunch of imperfect parents, who by God’s grace, keep going. As a friend said to me recently, “Jesus is worth it. He’s worth persevering for, worth parenting a crazy crew for – worth. It.” Even if I feel like a slacker. Let go and let God do His work.
