You never stop being a parent. At least, you shouldn’t. Our kids are 33, 31, 29, and 16. If you’re not there, you’ll quickly realize the problems you thought were insurmountable when they were young are nothing compared to what they are when they become adults. You know the pain: divorce, joblessness, health concerns, homosexuality, infidelity, infertility—and those are just the physical problems! Then, you deal with kids abandoning the faith, living godless lives. It’s hard. But, then, there are the joys. And, there are MANY. Just remember, don’t stop being a parent of adult kids. They don’t need you to blow their nose, but they do need to know that you’re there. Pray for them every day, encouraging them with Scripture. But don’t ever stop loving them.
