Really? What about the Holy Ghost? Katelyn wrote in telling us about a conversation she had with her 2nd grader who asked that very question. The family was addressing an older student’s story that the playground was haunted by a student who they claimed had died at the school (which didn’t really happen). Are there ghosts? The Bible talks about spirit beings, including angels and demons, but not about dead people who are haunting the earth. Hebrews 9:27 says man is destined to die once—then comes the judgment. “Demons only seek to ‘kill, steal, and destroy’ (John 10:10 GW).”1 Warn them about psychics, séances, Ouija boards, and more. Remember, Satan wants nothing more than to confuse our kids. Read Scripture; don’t believe the lies of our culture.
