Businesses have mission statements. So do organizations like ours, Keys for Kids. Why don’t more families have them? What’s a mission statement? It’s a document or formal statement that explains the goals or values of a company, organization, group, or individual. Does your family have one? Mine doesn’t. But, I’ve been thinking. If it’s important enough to have a mission and vision statement for Keys for Kids, why not my family, too? Why do we exist? First, “to glorify God, and to enjoy Him forever.”1 But we’re also here to share the Gospel with those who haven’t heard. That not only includes those around us, but our own kids. So, let me challenge you—create a family mission statement. I’m going to. If you have one, let me know what it is in the comment section below.
