Is your child learning to tell the truth, be kind, and serve others? Those traits don’t just happen. They’re taught—and caught. Galatians 5:22–23 talks about the fruit of the Spirit: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness…” Sound like something you want your kids to have? Me too. But fruit grows from roots. We need to model what we expect. When we’re patient with our kids, they learn patience. When we apologize for losing our temper, they learn humility. Character development isn’t just about rules—it’s about discipleship. Memorize Scripture together. Celebrate when they make godly choices. Remind them that we obey—not to earn God’s love, but because we already have it. Want a child who follows Jesus? Pray and speak the Gospel often.
