I was in the mall the other day, and I couldn’t believe what was coming out of what looked like a seven or eight-year-old’s mouth. Curse words and words that probably should have been called swear words. I thought to myself, “Hmmm, he’s hearing it from somewhere. Home, maybe?” Then, I got home, and I heard words that I would have gotten my mouth washed out with soap for had I used them at home. What’s happening to us? Well, according to a Lifeway study, 81% of Americans are concerned about declining moral values. Mom and Dad, let’s help change that by talking about Christ, being an example—and use the Bible as our guide. “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths”—build each other up—and “give grace to those who hear” (Ephesians 4:29 ESV).
