We’re living in a time where I don’t think we’ve ever lived before, at least in modern history. For the first time in a long time, voters will be going to the polls to vote against a candidate for president, not for one. While that may be an overgeneralization, the reality is our kids can’t really admire anyone who’s running. Katie wrote asking, “How do I tell our kids about this year’s presidential election?” Without getting political, we need to make sure our kids understand our trust can’t be in man, but in our Heavenly Father. Psalm 118:8 says, “It’s better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.” God has a plan. Then, we need to encourage our kids to pray that our leaders will ultimately turn to Him.
