If you and your family hold on to traditional Christian values the chances are you’ve faced some opposition about your beliefs. Jesus did, too. James says to count it all joy when we face trials. Jesus said those who are persecuted for their faith are blessed. He also said He chose us out of the world so the world will hate us. Jesus also said we will be hated by all for His namesake. So many times our kids have the false impression that being Christian makes life easier. While our trust in God makes the hardship easier, it doesn’t stop it. Parents, remind our kids of God’s faithfulness and sovereignty as we face difficulties. These difficulties are making us into who he wants us to be.
