Knowing our adult kids aren’t following Christ is so painful. Those relationships can be difficult to navigate. Colossians 4:6 says, “Let your
conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” We should treat our adult kids with the same love and respect we would show to any other person, regardless of their beliefs. Rather than trying to force our faith on them, we should try living out our faith authentically and pray for God to work in their hearts. We can also pray the Holy Spirit will provide opportunities to share the gospel with our kids, but ultimately, the Holy Spirit is the one who does the work of saving. Our job is to be faithful.
