Divorce can be a difficult and painful experience. It’s not supposed to happen to families. When one parent is a Christian and the other isn’t that can compound the problem. As parents, be sensitive to their feelings and help them navigate this difficult time. 1 Peter 5:7 says, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” We need to encourage our kids to bring their worries and concerns to God in prayer, and remind them that God loves them and is always with them, even in the midst of difficult situations. It’s also important to provide a stable and loving home environment, even during changes and transitions. Seek the support of other Christian friends and family and consider the help of a Christian counselor or pastor.
