Parenting in coronavirus crisis mode is tough. Rebecca Dreyer speaks truth as a wife, mother, and teacher. “I am enough for my girls, even if my 3-year-old probably spends too much time on her iPad every day and I feel like I'm failing them. I am enough for my husband who works long hours in our basement by himself while I try to support him any way I can. I am enough for my students, even if preschool is seen by many as “non-essential” and I feel lost by what remote learning looks like for a preschooler. I am enough for my Heavenly Father who calls me His daughter and gave His life for me, despite my flaws and failures. So today I choose to wipe my tears, give myself a little grace, and find joy in the chaos.” Being “enough” is a good example to our kids.
