There’s no question these are difficult times. No other time in history have we ever going from full employment to worse than The Depression unemployment. Businesses and families are devastated. We’re all asking the same question: how do we not scare our kids to death with our fear and anxiety of not knowing how we’re going to pay the mortgage and other bills? I wish I had the magic answer. I don’t. As a parent I’ve found that honesty is ALWAYS best. Kids aren’t stupid. They KNOW when things are bad. Go into as much detail as their age can handle. But be honest. Ask them to pray. Read the Bible together that can provide hope. Here’s some: Proverbs 16:9 “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Find more at our website.
