It’s heartbreaking. Drugs are creating a stoned culture. Now that marijuana has been legalized for people over 21 in many states, Christian families are being confronted with whether or not marijuana use is permitted in Scripture. Clearly the Bible doesn’t specifically talk about it, but it IS clear about not being drunk. It’s also clear about Christians being self-controlled and sober minded. How can we study the Word of God and make sound judgement if our mind is clouded by drugs or alcohol?  I Thessalonians 5 also challenges believers to avoid ALL appearance of evil. In most cases, if we need substances to help us forget life’s circumstances we’re turning to the wrong thing. Let’s be an example to our kids and focus on Christ alone.
