Matt wrote in asking if I could talk about families where primary roles have changed—perhaps some encouragement for dads who are now the primary caregivers for kids. That’s tough, Matt. As men, we want to feel like we’re providing for our families. We want to be viewed as that primary breadwinner. I think it’s part of our DNA. It’s humbling, isn’t it? Wives, if your roles are reversed, be sensitive. It’s almost emasculating. Husbands, remember God’s even using THIS to do a work in you. Value the time you have with your kids—most of us guys don’t get what you have. Spend time with your kids in God’s Word, maybe with the Keys for Kids devotional. And be intentional about doing things only dads can do: being fathers.
