As I write this Parent Minute script, our family is waiting for news that could be either really good news—or really bad. When it comes to our health, fear can overwhelm us, can't it? It’s normal. It’s easy to say things like, “God’s in control” or “All things work together for good” when we’re not in the middle of it. Well, two of my daughters are awaiting this kind of news. As parents, we feel helpless. How are we going to deal with it? Sometimes tears. Sometimes joy as we watch our seventeen-year-old trust completely in God’s loving arms. As tears flow from the unknown, I know God is good—all the time. Even if pain is our future, my daughter says it best, “I sleep in heavenly peace knowing God’s in control and I’m not.”
