I REFUSE to take political sides here on Parent Minute. But families are being fractured by a fractured nation. Today on Facebook, I saw a mom post that she’s grieving because her kids don’t agree with her politically. They feel oppressed, so they’ve decided to stay away and keep the grandkids from visiting. Another mom said she may be sitting this election out, which is causing conflict with her husband. A veteran told me his grandson is kneeling at the national anthem and is taking it personally. As parents, what do we do to keep the peace? Believe it or not, I don’t see eye-to-eye with a lot of my kids politically. We try NOT to talk about it. Frankly, politics won’t save us. God will. Let’s focus on THAT which is most important.
