How do people make through tough times without Christ? One of my dearest friends would have celebrated his birthday today. Lee Geysbeek: a member of the Keys for Kids board. He was my boss at one point. But he was my friend. I miss him. Lee wasn’t only a man of God, he enjoyed life and people and invested heavily in both—pointing people to Jesus. When he passed away suddenly in 2018, it was hard—even though we all know he’s with Christ. As parents, how do we handle these losses? My suggestion? Be open about our struggles. But always point ourselves and our kids to God’s Word. Paul’s words are great. “For me to live is Christ and to die” is just more of Christ.
