There are times when we just don’t want to discipline our kids. Heather wrote to me asking how to discipline her daughter when she’s already tough on herself. I remember one time my oldest daughter lied to me. It was a major offense. But she never did ANYTHING wrong. And, when she did, all I had to do was look at her sternly and that was enough. She was already remorseful, seeking forgiveness. But this time I needed to be more stern. The punishment we agreed upon was just what she needed to remind her NOT to do it again. Remember, our kids are all different. Discipline needs to be customized for each one. The discipline needed for one could break another.
