These are difficult times for families. Mom and Dad, we’re both working really hard. Some families are blessed, and some moms or dads can stay home with the kiddos. But, for most families, Mom and Dad both have to work to make ends meet. I got an email last week from a mom who was feeling guilty because she didn’t feel like she was there for her daughter. That’s hard. There were times as a young father when I chose WORK over my kids. NEVER do that. I missed so much. First tooth, first choir concert, and more that I’m trying to forget. While it’s important to provide for our families, make time for your kids. Maybe it’s a special date night or family game time. And make family devotions a priority. These habits will translate into habits for your kids later.
