Did you know babies can start learning about Jesus—even before they speak? It’s true. The sights, sounds, feelings, everything around them shape who they are daily. When talking about teaching truths of Scripture, Deuteronomy 6:7 encourages us to “Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road…” Start early. Pray out loud while holding them. Read Bible stories at bedtime. Sing “Jesus Loves Me” as you rock them to sleep. These intimate moments introduce them to a Savior who loves them. Even if they don’t understand it, they feel the peace that passes all understanding that comes from a Christ-centered home. Don’t underestimate what the Holy Spirit can do through you, even in the nursery.
